Available forma: PDF, TXT , ePub , PDB , RTF, Audio Books - Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics is a shorter work by the German philosopher Immanuel Kant, published two years after the Critique of Pure Reason's 1st edition. Prolegomena contains an overview & defense of the Critiques main conclusions, sometimes by arguments Kant hadn't used in the Critique. He characterizes his more accessible approach here as analytic, as opposed to the Critiques synthetic examination of successive faculties of the mind & their principles. The book is also a polemic. Kant was disappointed by the Critique of Pure Reason's poor reception. Here he emphasizes the importance of its critical project for the very existence of metaphysics as a science. The appendix contains a rebuttal to an unfavorable review of the Critique. In the standard Akademie edition of Kant's works, Prolegomena takes up part of Volume V.
